The personal branding photography project we are sharing in this article focused on the website restyling and visual update for nutritionist and herbalist Chiara Dal Bello. This comprehensive branding workflow was carried out in close collaboration with Elisabetta Basili (illustrator and art director) and Raffaella Guarnieri (copywriter and content strategist).
The visual campaign was split into three distinct photographic sessions. First, we shot environmental corporate portraits indoors to anchor the website’s main bio and introduction pages. Next, the outdoor lifestyle session was designed to highlight Chiara’s deep connection with healthy, natural ingredients, local producers, and regional sustainability. Finally, the third session focused on professional commercial food photography, capturing specific dishes tailored for her website’s recipe and wellness advice columns.
Like many of our collaborative projects, this campaign was born right here at Cre-ta, the creative coworking hub in San Giuseppe di Cassola where our photography studio is based. Sharing a workspace with a dynamic group of diverse professionals constantly provides us with inspiring insights, creative brainstorming, and unique cross-industry collaborations.
Initial briefing: defining the visual identity for the new website
Chiara Dal Bello is a nutritionist and herbalist who brings a highly engaging, modern approach to food and wellness. The primary goal of her website restyling was to project the image of a professional who balances patient care with active research and educational coaching on conscious nutrition. The imagery needed to create a cohesive framework highlighting her commitment to wholesome, raw ingredients through her recipe and wellness advice columns.
From our very first meeting, we developed and shared a comprehensive moodboard with the entire creative team. This asset defined the color palette and overall aesthetic style that would guide all the subsequent photoshoots.
Personal branding photography: environmental portraits in the studio
For the photos introducing Chiara within her professional workspace, we sourced a bright location characterized by clean lines, minimalist geometry, and a soft, light color scheme. We maximized the natural light flowing from the main window and subtly augmented it with studio strobe lighting to make the environment feel even more airy, luminous, and welcoming.
After carefully curating and positioning the details within the set, we focused on the shooting phase, guiding her through various poses to strike the perfect balance between professional authority and warm approachability.

Personal branding photography: outdoor environmental portraits
To emphasize her core focus on high-quality, raw ingredients, we scheduled the second session at a local organic farm. The geometric lines and clean rows of the crops provided a highly relevant, visually compelling, and naturally beautiful background for the outdoor branding portraits.

Food photography: capturing the “smart plate”
The third and final session was entirely dedicated to producing high-end commercial imagery for her “smart plate” concept.
This phase also included a practical training session on food styling and tabletop set design. The goal was to provide Chiara with a streamlined, easily replicable framework so she could independently photograph new recipe covers in the future while maintaining visual consistency with our main campaign.
