Yet, high-end product photography is a vital asset for manufacturing companies, and over the years, it has become our studio’s core specialization. We thrive on complex projects, like the one detailed in this article, that require a flawless blend of precision still-life photography and advanced digital compositing using photographic or 3D backgrounds.
The objective of this campaign was to create a series of images that could both accurately document the products and explain their practical application with a striking, highly engaging visual style. The client was looking for captivating, fully furnished interior scenes where their components could be seamlessly integrated.
The brand behind this project, MB Fix, manufactures advanced fastening systems and accessories for radiators. These specialized brackets and supports are engineered to secure different types of heating units, along with matching towel-rail accessories.
The project scope was divided into two main requirements. First, we produced clean e-commerce packshots designed for global marketplaces like Amazon. Next, we developed lifestyle imagery demonstrating the fastening systems in use (ranging from minimalist close-ups focusing solely on the radiator to complete, fully styled room settings). The same dual approach was applied to their entire product line of accessories.
While we had previously experimented with blending studio photography with clean, solid-colored 3D backgrounds, for MB Fix we opted for high-end, photorealistic digital environments. This choice allowed us to convey a deeper sense of domestic warmth, comfort, and familiarity.

Radiator fastening systems
1. E-commerce packshots on a pure white background for Amazon
Amazon enforces strict, precise guidelines for product imagery, requiring immaculate, high-resolution shots seamlessly isolated on a pure white background. For this specific project, alongside the primary technical still-life images, we were also tasked with creating functional close-ups. These detailed macro shots focus on specific mechanical components, highlighting technical features and ease of installation directly to the end consumer.
2. Product compositing with photographic and 3D backgrounds
Alongside clean, white-background still-life shots, the client required interior lifestyle images to visually demonstrate the products in use. For this phase, we agreed to use pre-existing, high-quality interior backgrounds selected specifically to match the required perspectives. We then seamlessly integrated the radiators, secured by the chosen fastening systems, into these scenes using advanced photo-compositing techniques.
To ensure a flawless result, we photographed each radiator separately in our studio, carefully replicating the exact direction, temperature, and quality of light found in the destination background. Once isolated and masked, the product was integrated into the virtual room, where we meticulously reconstructed compatible shadows and highlights. This precise attention to lighting consistency is what makes the final hybrid image look incredibly natural, convincing, and warm.

High-end commercial retouching isn’t about quick automatic filters; it’s a craft of precision. Every pixel, edge, shadow, and light reflection is manually adjusted to deliver a flawless, photorealistic final asset that elevates the client’s brand.
3. Close-up shots: highlighting the radiator and fastening system
The third image requested by the client was a tight close-up focusing on the fastening system actively in use. To make this detailed view visually compelling and contextual, we digitally integrated specific textures in post-production. Depending on the product’s application, we added a realistic wall texture, tile backgrounds for bathroom settings, or flooring elements for floor-mounted support brackets.
Technically speaking, these detailed views are essential in industrial product photography for highlighting the premium build quality of the components. By utilizing precise, shallow depth of field and specialized commercial lighting, we emphasized the micro-details: the texture of the materials, the clean joints, and the solid integration between the brackets and the radiator. For the accessories product line, the photo-compositing process shifted focus toward interior design aesthetics.
